GoHock, ("we" or "us") provides this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information we receive from members of the GoHock community, including members of the GoHock website and any other products or services made available by GoHock. This Privacy Policy applies only to information that you provide to us through the Services and GoHock will update this policy, as required by changes in our information practices, from time to time. If GoHock makes any material or fundamental changes to this policy, we will notify you via email (as provided by your registered GoHock account) or by means of a notice on the website prior to the change coming into effect. We would advise you to regularly review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices. Terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

The terms "using" and "processing" information hereafter include using cookies on a computer, subjecting the information to statistical or other analysis and using or handling information in any way, including, but not limited to storing, collecting, evaluating, deleting, using, combining, modifying, disclosing and transferring information within our organisation or among our affiliates within Australia or internationally.

Information Collection and Use

GoHock’s primary goals in collecting information from members of the website are to provide and improve the website, features and content, to administer member’s use of the website and to enable users to easily navigate the website.

Personally Identifiable Information

When you register with us through the GoHock website and become a member, when you choose to post a Listing or to purchase an item, or when you wish to contact another member, we request personally identifiable information from you. This refers to information about you that can be used to contact or identify you (“Identity Information”), including, but is not limited to, your name, phone number, driver’s license, email address, and home postal address, but does not include your credit card number or billing information. GoHock may also ask for your credit card number and other billing information ("Billing Information") (Identity Information and Billing Information are collectively known as "Personal Information"). GoHock uses your Personal Information to provide the website and administer your inquiries.

We collect Personal Information in connection with your registration to make your account when joining the service. You can register to join via the registration link on the website.

You may also register to join by logging into online accounts you may have with third party service providers like Facebook or Google Plus. As part of the functionality of the website, you may link your GoHock account with Third Party Accounts, by either providing your Third Party Account login information to GoHock through the website; or allowing GoHock to access your Third Party Account, as is permitted under the applicable terms and conditions that govern your use of each Third Party Account. You acknowledge and agree that you are entitled to disclose your Third Party Account login information to GoHock and grant GoHock access to your Third Party Account, without breach by you of any of the terms and conditions that govern your use of the relevant Third Party Account and without obligating GoHock to pay any fees or making GoHock subject to any usage limitations imposed by the applicable TPA. If you register by logging into a Third Party Account via our website, GoHock will obtain the Personal Information you have provided to the applicable TPA including your full name, email address, profile picture, names of TPA friends, names of TPA groups to which you belong, other information you make publicly available via the relevant TPA and/or other information you authorise GoHock to access by authorising the TPA to provide such information, from your Third Party Accounts and use that information to create your GoHock account, profile page and GoHock community membership. Depending on the Third Party Accounts you choose and subject to the privacy settings that you have set in such Third Party Accounts, you understand that by granting us access to said TPA, we will access, make available and store the information in your Third Party Accounts so that it is available on and through your GoHock account on the website. If there is information about your connections or individuals with whom you are associated in the relevant Third Party Account, the information we obtain about these connections or individuals with whom you are associated, may also depend on the privacy settings said connections or individuals have with the relevant Third Party.

GoHock will also collect the other information that you provide as part of registration and the administration and personalization of your GoHock Account profile (Non-identifying Information). We use your Personal Information mainly to provide the Service, complete your transactions, and administer your inquiries.

Certain Non-Identifying Information would be considered a part of your Personal Information if it were combined with other identifiers (zip code paired with your street address) in a way that enables identification. However the same information is considered Non-Identifying Information when taken alone or combined only with other non-identifying information (demographic information). GoHock may combine your Personal Information with Non-Identifying Information and aggregate it with information collected from other GoHock members to attempt to provide the GoHock community with better service, to improve the quality and value of the website and to analyse and understand how our website is used. GoHock may also use the combined information without aggregating it to serve you specifically, for example to deliver a product to you according to your preferences or restrictions.

GoHock also uses your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you as a member of the GoHock community. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to receive such communications from us, please contact GoHock for cancellation of your subscription to these services. We may also share the combined information without aggregating it to partners we feel may have material benefit to you or your use of the Site. Please note that we may also use your Personal Information to contact you with information related to your use of the website; you may not unsubscribe from these notifications.


GoHock’s primary purpose in collecting this information is to provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. We also use the information we receive about you in connection with the website, other users, members, and advertisers that purchase ads on this site. For example, we may use the information we receive from you to provide requested customer support; resolve disputes, collect fees, or troubleshoot problems; prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities, and enforce the Terms and Conditions; customize, measure, and improve our services and the GoHock website’s content and layout; inform you of targeted marketing, service updates, and promotional offers based on your communication preferences; and compare information for accuracy, verification with Third Parties.

Log Data

When you visit the website as a member of the GoHock community or as a non-registered user just browsing, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website, referred to as Log Data. This may include information such as your computer's IP address, browser type or the webpage you were visiting before you came to the GoHock website, pages of our website that you visit or use, the time spent on those pages, information you search for on our website, access times and dates, and other statistics. We use this information to monitor and analyse use of the website and for the technical administration of the website, to increase the functionality and user-friendliness of the website, and to better tailor our website to the needs of our members and visitors. We also use this information to verify that users of the website meet the criteria required to process their requests. We do not treat Log Data as Personal Information or use it in association with other Personal Information, although we may aggregate, analyse and evaluate such information for the same purposes as stated above regarding other Non-Identifying Information.

GoHock uses cookies for two purposes, to utilise persistent cookies to save your login information for future logins to the website, and to utilise session ID cookies to enable certain features of the website, to better understand how you interact with the website and to monitor aggregate usage by GoHock members and web traffic to and from the website. Unlike persistent cookies, session cookies are deleted from your computer when you log off from the website and upon closing the browser. Account Protection

It is your responsibility to use unique numbers, letters, and special characters and do not disclose your password to anyone, as it is the key to your GoHock membership. You are responsible for all actions taken in the name of your account. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personal information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. If your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password.

Accessing, Reviewing and Changing your Personal Information

You can see, review and change most of your personal information or delete your account by logging onto the GoHock website and clicking the ‘Edit Profile’ link on the dashboard. GoHock will not manually modify your personal information. You must promptly update your personal information if it changes or becomes inaccurate for any reason. Upon your request, we will close your account and remove your personal information as soon as reasonably possible, based on your account activity and in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. We do retain personal information from closed accounts in order to comply with law, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce the Terms, and take other actions otherwise permitted by law.


We want you to feel confident about engaging with the GoHock platform and we are committed to protecting the information we collect. No website or online service can guarantee security, including ours, we have implemented appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security procedures to help protect personal information provided to GoHock. GoHock uses web tools to protect our member’s personal information against unauthorized access, modification and/or disclosure.

Third Parties

Except as otherwise expressly included in this Privacy Policy, this document addresses only the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. If you disclose your information to others, including, referral businesses, operators, or other GoHock users you interact with on the GoHock website or otherwise online, different rules may apply to their use your provided information. GoHock does not control these Third Party privacy policies, and you are subject to the relevant policies of those third parties. GoHock encourages each member to ask relevant questions before disclosing personal information to Third Parties.


The GoHock website is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. GoHock does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from individuals under the age of 15. If a parent/guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with Personal Information without consent, he or she should contact our support team via the website. If GoHock becomes aware that an individual under 15 has provided us with Personal Information, please notify us via the website so that GoHock may promptly delete such information.

Access to GoHock accounts

GoHock reserves the right to access your account at any time, to amend bookings, purchases, listings, or profile information at its sole discretion.
